CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer) Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer is composed of filter, self-focusing lens, dual fiber, glass tube and single fiber collimator. In principle, CWDM uses optical multiplexer to divide different wavelengths.The optical signal is multiplexed to a single optical fiber for transmission. At the receiving end of the link, the mixed signal in the optical fiber is decomposed into signals of different wavelengths with the aid of an optical demultiplexer, and then connected to the corresponding receiving device. It is a low-cost WDM transmission technology for the access layer of the metropolitan area network.

CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer) Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer is composed of filter, self-focusing lens, dual fiber, glass tube and single fiber collimator. 2APPLICATION

Network expansion and upgrade: Any input optical wavelength can be converted into a fixed ITU-CWDM output optical wavelength, and up to a dozen optical signals can be transmitted simultaneously in one optical fiber, which greatly expands the transmission capacity and utilization of the optical fiber, and saves laying time and cost of the optical cable that will not affect the original business when the new business is opened.

  • Mixed transmission of various types of signals: suitable for SDH, ATM, Ethernet, fiber channel equipment upgrades, long-distance line relay, analog signal transmission, and digital and analog signals within the rate of 10Mb/s~2.5 Gb/s. Hybrid transmission in a single fiber.
  • Mode conversion: It can complete the conversion of single-mode light waves into any single-mode and multi-mode light waves, which is suitable for various complex network conditions.
  • Wavelength conversion: complete the conversion of any wavelength of single-mode and multi-mode light waves into CWDM wavelengths, or convert one CWDM wavelength into another arbitrary wavelength, and the transmission distance can reach hundreds of kilometers.
  • Optical relay: Multiple cwdm can be connected in series to increase the transmission distance (up to hundreds of kilometers).
  • lSecurity networking: using cwdm to form multiple virtual optical networks (OPN) in a single pair of fibers that are isolated from each other on the physical channel, so that the network is completely protected from all software viruses and hackers, and its security is much higher than that of general-purpose VPN, especially suitable for government, public security, banks and other fields.
