DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexer) is composed of filter, self-focusing lens, dual fiber, glass tube and single fiber collimator. In principle, DWDM uses optical multiplexer to divide different wavelengths.The optical signal is multiplexed to a single optical fiber for transmission. At the receiving end of the link, the mixed signal in the optical fiber is decomposed into signals of different wavelengths with the aid of an optical demultiplexer, and then connected to the corresponding receiving device. It is a low-cost WDM transmission technology for the access layer of the metropolitan area network.

2、APPLICATION
Network expansion and upgrade: Any input optical wavelength can be converted into a fixed ITU-DWDM output optical wavelength, and up to a dozen optical signals can be transmitted simultaneously in one optical fiber, which greatly expands the transmission capacity and utilization of the optical fiber, and saves laying time and cost of the optical cable that will not affect the original business when the new business is opened.
